MADISON, WI — Kelda Roys has secured the endorsement of United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), a champion for women, families, and hard-working Americans. Gillibrand, like Kelda, has been a strong advocate for universal pre-k, paid family and medical leave, and tackling the student loan debt crisis.

“I first heard about [Kelda Roys] from her incredible campaign ad about fighting for the issues that matter most to real people,” tweeted Gillibrand. “Candidates like Kelda are exactly why I started [Off The Sidelines], and I’m so proud to endorse her for governor of Wisconsin.”

“I met Kelda this weekend in WI, and I was inspired by her drive to stand up for working people and families over corporate interests,” added Gillibrand. “She’s the kind of fighter we need to beat Scott Walker this November, and [Off The Sidelines] and I will be fighting alongside her every step of the way.”

“I’m tremendously honored to be endorsed by Senator Gillibrand,” said Roys. “She inspires me and to so many people across the country. Senator Gillibrand’s focus on supporting women and families is exactly what our state and our country needs right now. I’m thrilled to earn her support.”

Roys has previously been endorsed by many national and state organizations and leaders, including EMILY’s List, NARAL Pro-Choice America, Women’s March WI, National Organization for Women – Wisconsin, Feminist Majority, Demand Universal Healthcare, Moms Demand Action Candidate Distinction, #VoteProChoice, Andy Gronik, Outagamie Co. Exec Thomas Nelson, Rep. JoCasta Zamarripa, Rep. Amanda Stuck, Rep. Nick Milroy, former Sen. Jess King, and dozens of local elected officials.
