MADISON, WI — According to polling from Lake Research Partners, Democratic primary voters are highly excited to elect a female governor in Wisconsin.

According to Lake’s poll, 71% of Democratic primary voters are excited to elect a female governor. This includes 76% of women and 65% of men. Of that 71%, 40% of voters are very excited to elect a female governor and 49% of women say the same.

“Lake’s poll confirms that Kelda Roys is well-positioned to win this primary,” said Sonja Chojnacki, Roys’ campaign manager. “The energy and enthusiasm behind pro-choice female candidates, combined with Roys’ growing momentum, endorsements, and strong fundraising numbers proves Kelda has what it takes to become the Democratic nominee this August.”

Lake’s poll was conducted between July 9th and 11th conducted via live telephone survey among 400 likely August 2018 Democratic primary election voters. It has a margin of error of +/- 4.9%
