Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel recently announced the incredible success of Wisconsin’s Drug Take Back Day. Under Attorney General Schimel’s leadership, Wisconsin collected a total of 63,541 pounds, or 32 tons, of unused medications. According to News 8 WKBT-TV, these numbers put Wisconsin first in the United Statesfor collection totals per capita and third in total collection trailing just Texas and California. 

Attorney General Schimel is laser focused on the safety of Wisconsin communities and his Dose of Reality program, started in 2015, has made clear progress in combatting the scourge of the opioid epidemic.

From WeAreGreenBay.com: Officials say Wisconsin collected more unused medications than Minnesota, Michigan, and Iowa combined… Since 2015, the Wisconsin Department of Justice has collected and disposed of 401,769 lbs. of unused and unwanted medications.
