Contact: Rep Tusler (608) 266-5831

MADISON – Today in Madison, Rep. Ron Tusler (R-Harrison) was named Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Campaign and Elections. Assembly Speaker, Robin Vos (R- Burlington) announced the appointment today from the Capitol.

“Wisconsin elections are of critical importance,” said Tusler. “I look forward to continuing the legacy of reforms former Chairperson Rep. Kathy Bernier (R-Lake Hallie) has made to ensure Wisconsin has secure and efficient elections.” Rep. Tusler’s Recount Reform bill from the 2017- 2018 legislative session limited recounts to those that have some chance of success.

“While we have made great strides in creating greater efficiencies and increased access to voting, I will enjoy working with county and municipal clerks, the Wisconsin Elections Commission and all those interested in promoting improvement to the administration of secure elections.” Rep. Tusler will likely hear bills designed to make voting easier, reliable, and fair to all voters.

Rep. Tusler will begin his second term as State Representative, serving Wisconsin’s 3rd Assembly District, on January 7, 2019. The district encompasses portions of Outagamie and Calumet Counties to include Appleton, Brillion, Combined Locks, Harrison, Kimberly, Little Chute, Menasha and Stockbridge.
