MADISON… Today, Governor Walker delivered his annual State of the State Address to a joint session of the Wisconsin State Legislature. Representative Patrick Snyder (Schofield) released the following statement immediately after the message:

“Since taking office last January, I have been proud to witness the state of Wisconsin moving forward,” said Snyder. “Our unemployment rate is at a 3.0% monumental low, we have made historic investments in our K-12 schools, and we are continuing to promote healthy families all across Wisconsin.

“As I began my term as state representative, it was important to me that we continued to invest in our education systems,” said Snyder. “The additional dollars to support Wisconsin’s rural schools are a significant part of the efforts being made to ensure all children are given the education they deserve, regardless of their zip code.

“I am also particularly excited about the Governor’s Health Care Stability Plan that will provide certainty for our seniors and for those with pre-existing conditions,” said Snyder. “Wisconsin ranks amongst the best in the nation for health care quality and access. This proposal will continue to make health care more attainable for all people across our state.

“As Wisconsin continues to move forward, I will continue to advocate on behalf of the constituents of the 85th Assembly District,” said Snyder. “I look forward to the work to be done as we wrap up the 2018 legislative session.”
