To Whom It May Concern – Congresswoman Gwen Moore (WI-04) hosts Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) and Democratic Whip Task Force on Poverty, Income Inequality, and Opportunity Chair, Congresswoman Barbara Lee (CA-13) in Milwaukee for the second stop of their Pathways Out of Poverty Listening Tour on Friday, June 29.

On the tour, the Members of Congress will hear directly from community leaders and Americans on the front lines of the national poverty epidemic. The Members will visit sites across Milwaukee to better understand how poverty and inequality impacts families of every regional, cultural, racial, and ethnic background. Members of the media are invited to join for the Next Door Educare tour and subsequent media availability. The trip will culminate in a closed-press visit to Wisconsin Regional Training Partnership/BIG STEP and community roundtable.

In stark contrast to President Trump and Congressional Republicans proposals to slash proven anti-poverty programs, the Pathways Out of Poverty Listening Tour focuses on solutions that help, not hurt, families living on the edge.
