Madison- Representative Amy Loudenbeck (R-Clinton) was appointed to serve as the Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Finance today by Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester).
“I am pleased to serve as Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Finance and look forward to the new term.
“I intend to take a critical look at specific pressure points within all local units of government. I want to ensure we fully fund our current obligations before considering program growth. I will also continue to evaluate transportation funding options so we can reduce our debt service and have safe, high quality infrastructure.
“I hope to apply my skills, experience, and institutional knowledge to build the best budget possible for Wisconsin,” said Rep. Loudenbeck.
“Amy’s strong work ethic and her ability to collaborate with others on complex issues will continue to be assets to the Joint Committee on Finance. I’m pleased she has agreed to serve the state and taxpayers in this capacity,” said Speaker Vos.
The Joint Committee on Finance is a statutory, 16-member standing committee of the Wisconsin Legislature. The committee’s primary responsibility is to serve as the principal legislative committee charged with the review of all state appropriations and revenues.
