Madison- Rep. Joel Kitchens (R-Sturgeon Bay) and Sen. Luther Olsen (R-Ripon) announce the upcoming dates and locations of the Blue Ribbon Commission on School Funding public hearings for spring 2018. The Blue Ribbon Commission on School Funding is a bipartisan group of legislators and education stakeholders created to take a comprehensive look into Wisconsin’s education funding system.
Since February, the commission has held public hearings across the state in an effort to gain insight from local communities on the issues affecting our schools. As the commission continues to travel, the members are looking to hear what the concerns are for each region, in what educational areas schools are thriving, which areas can be improved, and solutions and strategies that can be used to address the needs of the schools in our state. The Co-Chairs encourage all those interested in the issue of school funding to attend one of the hearings and share their thoughts and solutions with the commission.

Monday, May 21st– Turtle Lake
Monday, June 4th– Madison
