Campbellsport, Wis. – Village of Kewaskum native Timothy Ramthun, N641 Ramthun Lane in the Township of Auburn, Fond Du Lac County, announced today the filing of candidacy papers to officially enter the contest for the people’s 59th District seat in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Currently serving his second term on Kewaskum’s Board of Education, Ramthun seeks to occupy the seat currently held by Representative Jesse Kremer. Mr. Kremer announced in January that he would not seek a third term. “Representative Kremer has given the 59th District much to be grateful for with commitment to protect the pre-born, our 1st and 2nd Amendment rights, initiatives to aid in improvements for police and firemen protections, and enhancements to the farming industry. These were all difficult subjects to address and Mr. Kremer did not waiver. Should I be blessed to serve as his successor, I will continue in these and many other causes we share passion in, ensuring the best chance for completion of unfinished business”, said Ramthun.

When elected, Ramthun will effectively continue the fiscally conservative values and common-sense philosophies displayed the past few years within WI State government. The overall welfare of Wisconsin families, from job creation, lowering tax burdens, improving public education finance and school safety, to simply doing what’s right, are all priorities within Mr. Ramthun’s platform. “There’s never been a more important time than right now to have representation that truly understands the issues, realizes the effects of those issues, and has the mature capability to draw from extensive practical experience and sound judgement that obtains needed results! Elections require that voters assess who best possesses the abilities to both influence and inspire the caucus, from committee to floor sessions, and the Assembly overall. Many voters know without any doubt, that I am that best choice, the only candidate that will raise the bar of public service efficiency, civility, and results”. Not an establishment candidate, Ramthun is the real deal, beholding only to the people as a true servant of the people. “They are the ones I will constantly strive to meet and exceed expectations for. Public service is an obligation and a sense of urgency is required. Representation of the many is a duty best performed by citizen-servants with principled conviction and courage to do the ‘heavy lifting’ governance demands. My leadership skills will make the difference”, beamed Ramthun. “As an engaged public servant, I’ve attended listening and learning sessions to better the District, including State Finance and Education Committee meetings, affording great insight and lasting friendships that provide an important advantage of hitting the ground running! Urged now for State Assembly by my family, peers, constituents, many public officials, and faithful inspiration from my Heavenly Father, I’ve been quietly preparing for this moment my entire life, and I am more than ready”, concluded Ramthun.

Ramthun, an executive business management consultant since 2010, successfully serves multiple private sector businesses in addressing operational service delivery requirements, enhancing quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability. A graduate of Kewaskum High School, his formal education is technology and business operations management, having also earned multiple certifications in effective business leadership, quality, and accounting. Timothy and wife Carolann are blessed with two children and eight grand-children.

The 59th District encompasses municipalities in Washington, Fond Du Lac, Sheboygan and Calumet Counties. The Republican Primary will be held Tuesday, August 14th and the general election will be Tuesday, November 6th.
