One Wisconsin Now Provides Library Documenting 25 Years of Scott Walker’s Cronyism, Corruption and Incompetence
MADISON, Wis. — As the 50-year-old Scott Walker ramps up his increasingly desperate bid to extend his quarter century in political office, One Wisconsin Now today announced the update of the Scott Walker Failure Files. The Failure Files is One Wisconsin Now’s massive, online archive documenting the cronyism, corruption and incompetence that has marred Gov. Scott Walker’s career and can be found at: OneWisconsinNow.org/Scott-Walker.
“Scott Walker has had his backside in what he calls the ‘government hammock’ for 25 years,” said One Wisconsin Now Executive Director Scot Ross. “At the Failure Files we’re putting his record on display, documenting the cronyism, corruption and incompetence from 1993 through the present day.”
The Failure Files, which is the largest online database of Scott Walker research in America, include a database of news clips, searchable by issue, covering his gubernatorial years, and additional information from his adult lifetime in political office as a member of the State Assembly and Milwaukee County Executive. Users can also link to special reports on topics like his use of the quasi-private Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) to benefit donors to his campaigns and how the Bradley Foundation, until recently run by Walker’s campaign chair, has underwritten the Wisconsin right-wing noise machine.
Ross concluded, “Scott Walker has shown he is willing to do or say anything to try to win an election. He’s never been more desperate than he is today, and with the Failure Files we’re making public a tool for people to separate the fact from the fiction as career politician Scott Walker pulls out all the stops to try to save his bacon.”
