August 14, 2018 – (Delafield, WI) – Marine veteran and political outsider Kevin Nicholson issued the following statement regarding last night’s Wisconsin primary election results:

“As a political outsider, I am so humbled by the incredible warmth the people of Wisconsin have shown my family and me. Thank you for your confidence and support.

Throughout this primary, State Senator Vukmir and I have always agreed: it is time to send Tammy Baldwin to the private sector after 32 years as a professional politician. Congratulations to her for tonight’s victory. I will work to support her in achieving the ultimate goal, which has always been to defeat Tammy Baldwin.

Tammy Baldwin is one of the most out of touch Senators in America. Her opposition to tax cuts, her unwillingness to end illegal immigration, her attempt to create a $10 Billion Department of Peace, her early support of the Iran Nuclear Deal, and her obstruction of the President’s judicial nominees – these are just a few of the reasons Wisconsin deserves better. When you add in her unthinkable failure at the Tomah VA, where she looked the other way when a whistleblower tried to get her help, re-electing her seems unconscionable.

The battles that lie ahead are too important to our collective future to stand by idly – and I look forward to working together with all of you to secure the future of our state and nation.”

Nicholson is a decorated Marine Corps veteran who served combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He currently works as a business consultant, helping companies solve their toughest problems. He is a first-time candidate running in the Republican primary to defeat Democrat Tammy Baldwin. He and his wife live in Delafield with their three young children.
