U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin moved to a double-digit lead over GOP rival Leah Vukmir in the latest Marquette University Law School Poll, while the guv’s race shifted in Dem Tony Evers’ favor.

Last month, Evers, the state superintendent, and Gov. Scott Walker were tied at 46 percent.

This month, 49 percent of likely voters backed Evers, while 44 percent supported Walker. Six percent backed Libertarian Phil Anderson, unchanged from last month.

In the Senate race, Baldwin was at 53 percent, while Vukmir was at 42. Last month, it was 49 Baldwin, 47 Vukmir.

The poll also asked a head-to-head question about the attorney general’s race for the first time. It found GOP incumbent Brad Schimel backed by 48 percent of likely voters surveyed, while 41 percent supported Dem Josh Kaul, a former federal prosecutor.

The survey was in the field Wednesday through Sunday. The sample of 800 registered voters had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points. That included a pool of 614 likely voters that had a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percent points.

The sample was 46 percent Dem and 45 percent Republican. Last month, it was a plus-2 GOP sample.
