U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin released her latest TV ad today, touting legislation the Madison Dem wrote to provide job training.

The spot opens with RenewAire CEO Chuck Gates saying his Waunakee company makes state-of-the-art indoor air quality systems, “but it’s always a challenge to find the people with the advanced skills that we need.”

Baldwin then adds, “There are millions of jobs in America that need to be filled, but there aren’t enough workers with the right training.”

Baldwin says that’s why she wrote the Partners Act to connect businesses and tech colleges to provide training for “the jobs that are out there.” The legislation, which Baldwin first announced in August, would provide states with grants to help expand local public-private partnership apprenticeship initiatives.

“What Tammy Baldwin is doing is really important to businesses like ours,” Gates says to close the ad.
