MADISON – Today, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mahlon Mitchell released the following statement on Wisconsin’s spring election results:

“Tonight’s results are another referendum on the last eight years of failed governance that has left Wisconsinites behind. From choosing a qualified and progressive champion in Rebecca Dallet to pushing back against Scott Walker’s political power grab of eliminating the state treasurer – it is clear Wisconsinites are fed up and showing it at the ballot box.”

“The seeds of change are buried in the passion of Wisconsinites statewide. They are ready for government to get back to putting their needs and future first – that begins at the top. It’s time for a proven leader to fight like hell for Wisconsin’s working families, for health care, education. I’m running for governor to take that fight to statehouse and rebuild a Wisconsin that leaves no one behind.”
