MILWAUKEE – MPS is proud to host a Language Summit on Saturday, December 15, 2018. The Language Summit will bring together students, families and community stakeholders to showcase language and culture. Please join us as we highlight and share the benefits of bilingualism and biliteracy as well as experience the rich diversity of culture in Milwaukee Public Schools. Families, students, teachers, education job seekers, and the community are invited to attend. At the Summit, MPS will share information about exciting programs in our schools. Enrollment specialists will be available to assist families.

WHERE:
Milwaukee School of Languages, 8400 W. Burleigh St., Milwaukee.

WHEN:
Saturday, December 15; 11:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

The event will include sessions to learn more about the various language options in MPS as well as the benefits of second language acquisition.

Attendees can learn more about the many bilingual opportunities in the district while experiencing traditional cultural student performances. Sample a variety of ethnic foods provided by students from MPS’ Culinary Arts program. Childcare will also be provided.

Join us as we open doors to student success through language and culture!

Shuttle buses to the event will depart from South Division High School, 1515 W. Lapham Blvd., Milwaukee and North Division High School, 1011 W Center St., Milwaukee at 10:30 a.m. on December 15.
