District hosts Saturday enrollment events to help families make sure their young ones are ready on day one

MILWAUKEE (August 24, 2018) – School is about to start for most Milwaukee families. The first day of school for MPS elementary schools on the traditional calendar is Tuesday, September 4.

To best serve families who need help with enrollment, MPS Central Services will open doors on two Saturdays:

– Saturday, August 25, from 8 a.m. to noon
– Saturday, September 1, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Staff will be on hand to answer questions and help families select a school, update contact information, create a parent portal account, and register students.

MPS is home to nearly 160 schools and has a program for every student including Head Start, half- and full-day kindergarten, neighborhood schools, specialty schools, Montessori, language immersion, bilingual schools, special education, arts, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and more.

MPS Central Services is located at 5225 W. Vliet St. in Milwaukee.
