The Committee on Political Education has conducted interviews for the 2018 Milwaukee County Sheriff’s race and forwarded a recommendation to the full delegate assembly of the Milwaukee Area Labor Council.
Delegates from local unions in the building trades, the industrial, public, and service sectors voted in favor of endorsing Earnell Lucas for Milwaukee County Sheriff.
“Earnell Lucas is dedicated to restoring trust in the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s office by forging relationships, tackling tough issues, and providing a high level of service throughout the community,” said Pam Fendt, President of the Milwaukee Area Labor Council. “As Sheriff, Earnell Lucas will work to ensure that the rights and working conditions of corrections officers, sheriff’s deputies, and other employees are respected.”
The Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, August 14th and the General Election will follow on Tuesday, November 6th. Voter readiness is essential.
