The latest Marquette University Law School Poll found a dead even race for guv, while Dem Sen. Tammy Baldwin continued to maintain a significant lead over GOP challenger Leah Vukmir.

Gov. Scott Walker and Dem challenger Tony Evers were each backed by 47 percent of respondents. Libertarian Phil Anderson was at 3 percent.

Poll director Charles Franklin noted the exact same number of respondents backed Evers and Walker in the results.

Last month, it was 47-46 Walker with Anderson at 5 percent.

In the Senate race, 54 percent of likely voters surveyed supported Baldwin, while 43 percent supported Vukmir. Last time, it was 53-43 for Baldwin.

In the AG’s campaign 47 percent supported GOP incumbent Brad Schimel, while 45 percent backed Dem Josh Kaul. Last time, it was Schimel 47-43.

The poll of 1,154 likely voters had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.2 percentage points. It was conducted using live callers with 60 percent of the interviews conducted via cell phones.

The sample, with leaners included, was 47 percent Dem and 46 percent Republican.

The latest poll was the 50th since Marquette University Law School began conducting the survey in January 2012.
