Madison, WI
– The Madison Area Builders Association (MABA) is pleased to announce that Chad Lawler was named its new Executive Director on November 14, 2018 at their Annual Meeting of the Members. MABA is a nonprofit trade association focused on ensuring high standards for building excellence and on constructing a path to new home ownership by advocating for housing affordability through growth focused policy. Lawler, previously the Association’s Director of Government Affairs & Advocacy, was promoted from his role as Interim Executive Director after an exhaustive search to replace the recently departed Executive Director, Amber Schroeder.

MABA’s Board of Directors was excited to announce Lawler’s hiring to its members and the community. The Association expects continued growth and an even greater influence on pro-growth and pro-economic development policy at the state and local levels under Lawler’s leadership.

MABA’s President, Chris Ehlers, lauded Lawler’s past business, legal and advocacy successes as key reasons for the Board’s decision to name Lawler its new Executive Director.  “Chad [Lawler] has led our Association with several impressive advocacy wins and has continued to create strong relationships on the local, county and state [levels],” stated Ehlers.

The Madison Area Builders Association strives to lead a bi-partisan approach to providing housing affordability to families across the greater Madison area and across the state of Wisconsin.
