MILWAUKEE COUNTY – Today, three former chief executives of the state of Wisconsin, Democratic governors Jim Doyle, Tony Earl and Marty Schreiber, announced their endorsement of Earnell Lucas to be the next Milwaukee County Sheriff.

“I am deeply humbled to receive the support of these three leaders and outstanding public servants. Governors Doyle, Earl and Schreiber leave a legacy of dedicated service with distinction to our state,” said Lucas. “I appreciate their faith in me to restore honor and integrity to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office and look forward to providing the residents of Milwaukee County the level of service that they truly deserve.”

By adding their names to a growing list of endorsements, Governors Doyle, Earl and Schreiber help Lucas far outpace his opponents in gaining momentum in the race for Milwaukee County Sheriff. Lucas enjoys support from elected officials, labor organizations and community groups across Milwaukee County and the state of Wisconsin.

Lucas is a decorated law enforcement executive and respected public safety professional. His experiences include partnering with law enforcement and public safety officials from around the country and around the world. While a police captain, he commanded a district that formed coalitions with stakeholders to reduce crime and improve community relations. During his time at Major League Baseball, he has led operations to ensure the safety of over 75 million fans and the integrity of our National pastime.

The Democratic Primary election will be held Tuesday, August 14. In-person early voting in Milwaukee County began on Monday, July 30. For further information on voting, visit myvote.wi.gov. For further information about Earnell Lucas, visit lucasformke.com.
