Kaul campaign will report more than $280,000 on hand

The Kaul for Attorney General campaign today announced that it had raised slightly more than $429,000 since the start of the campaign in April. In the second half of 2017, the campaign raised more than $255,000, and it will report more than $280,000 on hand.

Kaul for Attorney General’s campaign manager, Ashley Viste, said, “Wisconsinites have had enough of an Attorney General who spends tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars on promotional materials while rape kits sit untested. Josh Kaul has prosecuted violent criminals, and his message about the need for new leadership at the Wisconsin Department of Justice has been resonating with people from across the state.”

The full campaign-finance report is due Jan. 16th and will be available publicly through the Wisconsin Ethics Commission.

Kaul served as a federal prosecutor in Baltimore, one of America’s most violent cities. There, Kaul prosecuted murderers, gang members, and drug traffickers, taking dangerous criminals off the street and making communities more secure. He grew up in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac in a family of law enforcement professionals and teachers. He is running for Attorney General in 2018.
