It’s a big state and people want to see their governor
Waupun- After a cheap shot hit piece from Scot Ross’ sleazy, shadowy, dark money organization ‘One Wisconsin Now’, the Chairman of the Republican Party of Fond du Lac County defended the Governor’s use of the state plane.
“It’s a big state and people want to see their Governor,” said Rohn Bishop, Chairman of the Republican Party of Fond du Lac County. “And people in Superior are Wisconsin citizens as much as people in Cuba City, Kenosha, or Fond du Lac.”
Bishop went on to point out that all Governors from both parties have used the state plane to travel the state, and defended them for doing so.
“I’ll never forget in 2002 when then candidate Jim Doyle hit then Governor Scott McCallum about state planes, then after winning flew around as governor himself.” Bishop reiterated that “It’s a big state and when a Governor has to be in multiple cities in one day, sometimes the only way a Governor can do it is to fly.”
