Madison, WI–Today, Inside Election’s editor Nathan Gonzales moved the Wisconsin gubernatorial race from “Lean Republican” to “Toss Up”, the latest sign of momentum building behind Tony Evers’ campaign.

Earlier this week, a Suffolk University/Journal Sentinel poll showed Evers leading Walker, and warned of potential ‘Walker-fatigue’ from midterm voters. The Evers campaign also announced last week that it raised $1 million from more than 4,000 donors in just the first week following the primary.

“This rating change confirms everything we’ve seen on the ground: Tony Evers has all the momentum as we head into the final two months of this campaign,” said Tony for Wisconsin Campaign Manager Maggie Gau. “Wisconsinites are behind Tony’s positive vision to build a state with better roads, improved schools, and access to affordable health care. Voters are tired of Scott Walker putting his personal political interests ahead of Wisconsin families, and they know it’s time for a change.”
