ADVISORY: Today: DGA, Wisconsin and New Mexico Democrats to Hold Press Call on Gov. Scott Walker’s New Mexico Trip

“Not a National Figure” Walker Continuing Aggressive National Political Travel to Support Extreme Candidate Steve Pearce

Today, Wednesday March 7 at 2:30 pm ET/1:30 CT/12:30 MT, the Democratic Governors Association, Democratic Party of Wisconsin, and the Democratic Party of New Mexico will be holding a joint press conference call on Governor Scott Walker’s Trip to New Mexico to campaign for gubernatorial candidate Steve Pearce.

Just a week after Governor Walker professed to be “not a national figure,” he is continuing his aggressive schedule of national political travel and neglecting Wisconsin to support an extreme candidate who is out of touch with the people of his state (and too toxic for even his own party)

DGA Executive Director Elisabeth Pearson, Democratic Party of New Mexico Chair Richard Ellenberg, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Martha Laning, Albuquerque Federation of Teachers President Ellen Bernstein, and NEA New Mexico Government and Media Relations Director Charles Goodmacher will be on the call. They will discuss Walker’s record of decimating Wisconsin’s public education system and how the people of New Mexico can’t afford another governor who puts personal political ambition and ideology ahead of the state’s needs.
