Statement from Dane County Executive Joe Parisi on the student walk outs happening across the Country today:
“Young people all over the country are taking action and demanding change. Elected representatives have long protected the NRA and not our children. I am once again calling on Governor Walker and Speaker Ryan to pass meaningful gun reforms such as background checks, bump stock bans and assault weapons bans. I applaud the young adults who refuse to accept the status quo and who are working to enact real change to stop these senseless tragedies from happening to others.”
