JANESVILLE, WI – Join the Beloit and Janesville League of Women Voters when they welcome guest speaker, Rick Daniels, to the annual Susan B. Anthony event, Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at the University of Wisconsin-Rock County.

Rick Daniels is the Director of Campus Inclusion at Oakton Community College. Daniels has presented at college campuses and community organizations across the country on issues such as race, social justice, and unconscious bias. Daniels will discuss hidden issues that affect the ability of people from diverse communities to engage in democratic process. The two local leagues look forward to Mr. Daniels thought-provoking ideas for helping everyone become full participants in our democracy.

The luncheon event starts at noon in the Commons of the University of Wisconsin-Rock County, 2909 Kellogg Avenue. Tickets are $30 for adults, and student tickets are $20. This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about the League of Women Voters and the importance of being an active participant in local, state and national elections.

The annual event honors Susan B. Anthony, a champion for a woman’s right to vote.

The all-volunteer local League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization which works to register voters, host candidate forums, study local, state, and national issues and to bring informative programs to the citizens of Rock County.
