U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin’s campaign says she raised $6 million during the third quarter, a record for the period for a federal candidate from Wisconsin.

Baldwin’s campaign says the Madison Dem finished September with $5 million in the bank. It also said Baldwin’s average donation was $19 in the three-month period.

The campaign didn’t say how much Baldwin spent during the period. But she finished June with $7.2 million cash on hand. That puts her spending between July 1 and Sept. 30 around $8 million.

Federal candidates face an Oct. 15 deadline to report third-quarter numbers.

GOP challenger Leah Vukmir, of Brookfield, had $816,917 in the bank at the end of June.
