WHAT: Walkers and runners alike are gearing up for the 29th annual AIDS Walk Wisconsin and 5K Run this Saturday, October 6 at the Summerfest Grounds in Milwaukee.
AIDS Walk Wisconsin and 5K Run is the largest HIV fundraising event in Wisconsin. Now in its 29th year, the Walk/Run has raised more than $13.1 million for the fight against
AIDS. Taking place along Milwaukee’s lakefront, the event has brought together more than 128,000 walkers and volunteers since 1990, who raise pledges to help people with
HIV live longer, healthier lives.

Gates open at 9:30 a.m. for registration, activities and live performances
5K run begins at 10:30 a.m.
Ceremonies begin at noon
Walk begins at 12:30
WHERE: Milwaukee Summerfest Grounds, Miller Lite Oasis
At the Summerfest Grounds, registration and the opening ceremonies will be at the Miller Lite Oasis. Participants will enter Maier Festival Park through the mid-gate. Ample free parking will be available. This year’s route will leave the Summerfest grounds and travel past the Art Museum, through Veteran’s Park, passing near Discovery World before returning to the Summerfest Grounds.
