Statewide Radio Buy Follows Digital Ads and Targeted Mail Against Other Democrat Candidates for Governor
[Madison, WI] — The Republican Party of Wisconsin launched a statewide radio ad today targeting Madison bureaucrat Tony Evers over his failure to lead when Wisconsin children and families needed him most. As Superintendent of Schools, Evers failed to act when a teacher was caught spreading pornography at school, allowing him to continue teaching rather than using his authority to revoke his license.
“Madison bureaucrat Tony Evers failed to lead when hard-working Wisconsin families and their children needed him most,” said Alec Zimmerman, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Despite pleas from parents and the school district – and a call for action from Governor Walker – Evers displayed weak leadership and refused to revoke the teacher’s license. How can Wisconsin families trust Tony Evers now?”
You can listen to the ad, entitled “Immoral Conduct,” here, and find the script below:

Female voice: You hear about this guy Tony Evers running for governor?
Male voice: No, which one is he?
Female voice: State schools superintendent. When a teacher was found guilty of spreading pornography at school, Evers refused to revoke his license.
Male voice: What?
Female voice: Just one of more than a dozen that Evers failed to hold accountable for ‘immoral conduct.’

Male voice: That’s just wrong.
Female voice: Tell me about it. Madison bureaucrat Tony Evers failed to lead when families needed him most. How can we trust him now?
The radio ad comes on the heels of the Republican Party of Wisconsin’s recent digital ad and targeted mail campaigns aimed at Democrat recruits for governor including Dana WachsAndy GronikKathleen Vinehout, and Mike McCabe.
