Madison, Wisconsin — Governor Scott Walker is fighting for hard-working Wisconsin families – and there is more work to be done. With a record that shows they’re fighting for Wisconsinites, and a Democrat field that is offering nothing more than the same failed policy ideas of yesterday, Walker and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch will keep moving Wisconsin forward. Walker and Kleefisch will hold an event today in Janesville to rally supporters as they officially kick off the governor’s re-election effort. The Republican Party of Wisconsin released the following statement from Executive Director Mark Morgan:

“Thanks to Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch, hard-working Wisconsin families are seeing big wins. More people are working than ever before, taxes will have been cut, and we’ve made historic investments in our schools. The Democrat field for governor is running to take Wisconsin backward, offering nothing more than the same failed policies of yesterday. Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Kleefisch are moving Wisconsin forward.”
Governor Walker is Moving Wisconsin Forward
  • Governor Walker has made historic investments into our schools while cutting taxes by over $8 billion dollars by 2018, and leading the way for Wisconsin to become a top ten state for business for the first time in history.
  • Property and income taxes will be lower in 2018 than they were in 2010 – Governor Walker even eliminated an entire tax.
  • When crisis struck hard-working Wisconsin dairy farmers, Governor Walker was quick to act – standing up for farmers and helping avert disaster.
