Southbound US 151 at Sun Prairie will be reduced to a single lane of traffic, between County VV and Main Street, starting Wednesday afternoon (April 5). Delays are expected during peak travel times. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and allow additional travel time.

The entrance ramps to southbound US 151 at County N (Bristol Street) and WIS 19 (Windsor Street) will be closed during the current stage of construction, scheduled until mid-July. The posted detour will use the ramps at Main Street and County C/Grand Avenue.

Work has begun to repair pavement along a four mile section of US 151, including the interchanges at WIS 19/Windsor Street and County N/Bristol Street. Eight bridges carrying highway traffic over Main Street, Windsor Street, Bristol Street and Columbus Street will undergo repairs and will be given a deck overlay to extend the service life of the bridges.

The southbound lane closure, ramp closures and work operations are weather dependent and subject to change.

Northbound long-term lane closures are expected to begin in July. Completion of the $10.1 million project is expected in late October.
