“Randy is the real deal, at a time when we need a heck of a lot more people like that in Congress.”

Janesville, WI – Today, the largest progressive group of veterans in America, VoteVets PAC, is endorsing Randy Bryce in his race against Speaker Paul Ryan for Congress in Wisconsin’s first district.
“Randy is the real deal, at a time when we need a heck of a lot more people like that in Congress,” said Jon Soltz, Iraq War Veteran and Chairman of VoteVets. “From serving as Military Police, to his work as an iron worker, to beating cancer, Randy is the personification of toughing it out.  But what’s most important is that, unlike Paul Ryan, Randy’s life experience has made him attuned to the needs of people just like him, and driven him to run to be their voice.”
“Paul Ryan has not missed a single chance to nickel and dime everyone – including veterans.  Paul Ryan has voted against billions of dollars in veterans funding over the years.  He opposed the new GI Bill, to give our newest generation of veterans a quality education.  He voted for budgets that were opposed by every major veterans service organization.  Paul Ryan’s view is that everyone is worthless, when it comes to the Federal budget, including veterans.  Randy rejects that, because he knows what real people go through.  That’s why we’re endorsing him, and why we can’t wait to see him shake things up in Congress.”
After graduation, Randy Bryce enlisted in the U.S. Army, and was posted to Honduras, serving in the military police. Randy currently serves as President of the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce board of directors, and as Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin Veterans Caucus.
Founded in 2006, the mission of Political Action Committee is to elect Veterans to public office, with a focus on Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, and hold public officials accountable for their words and actions that impact America’s 21st century troops and veterans. Though PAC is non-partisan, candidates it backs must support’s core mission and beliefs.
