State Officials to Promote Veteran Owned Business In Madison as Part of Governor Walker’s #WIVetBiz Day

MADISON – State officials will be making visits to several veteran owned businesses across the state where they will present business owners with their Wisconsin Veteran Owned Business certification, and unveil statewide the Wisconsin Veteran Owned Business logo on Tuesday, June 27, 2017. Governor Walker will also proclaim June 27, 2017 as Veteran Owned Business Day in Wisconsin (#WIVetBiz).

In Madison, Department of Workforce Development Secretary Ray Allen, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation Deputy Secretary Tricia Braun, and Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) Assistant Deputy Secretary Kathy Marschman will visit Aberdean Consulting, an IT services company owned by a US Army Veteran.

The Madison event is being done in conjunction with other #WIVetBiz Day events. Governor Scott Walker and WDVA Secretary Daniel J. Zimmerman will visit four veteran owned businesses across the state including Vines to Cellar, Port Washington, Rightstone Financial, Appleton, Prosthetic Orthotic Center, Wausau, and Lededgar Roofing Company, La Crosse.

Each event will include multiple Wisconsin Veteran Owned Business owners, partner organizations in developing entrepreneurs and supporting veteran owned businesses, representatives of veteran organizations, and local officials.
