Senate Advances Foxconn Legislation to Bring New Industry to Wisconsin

Madison, WI — Today, State Senator David Craig (R-Town of Vernon) voted in favor of the Foxconn bill. The legislation is a package that will help bring the Foxconn Technology Group to Southeast Wisconsin, and along with it, an estimated 13,000 jobs, $10 billion in private investment, and $7 billion in annual economic impact on the Wisconsin economy.

“Southeast Wisconsin will see tremendous, unprecedented economic benefits from this once-in-century investment in our state and our workforce. The economic ripple effect on local communities and the rest of the state will be massive,” said Senator Craig. “I am especially excited about the economic impact to existing businesses – like those in the industrial parks throughout the 28th Senate District – profiting from the Foxconn supply chain.”

“This is a win for Southeast Wisconsin and a win for the entire state,” said Senator Craig.
