Madison – This afternoon, Governor Walker presented his proposed 2017-19 budget today to both houses of the legislature. Following the address, Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna) released the following statement:
“Our state’s economy is in strong standing thanks to the sound budget decisions Assembly Republicans and Governor Walker have made since taking office. Moving forward, we need to make sure that we continue to fairly and wisely invest in what’s best for our great state.
“I am pleased to hear that that many of the initiatives outlined by the governor this afternoon align with the priorities of our caucus. Over the next several months, our members will be out talking with constituents and working to ensure that we ultimately pass the best budget possible for all of Wisconsin.”
