(Madison)…Representative Dave Murphy (R-Greenville), Chair of the Assembly Committee on Colleges and Universities, released the following statement in response to UW-Madison’s Proposed Badger Promise Program:
“Considering that this was not an item in the UW System’s budget request and other institutions have successfully implemented promise programs with private donations, I will evaluate Chancellor Blank’s proposal in the context of the entire budget.”
“Also, I want to examine the impact that changing the GPA admission standards from 2.8 to 3.2 has on access for transfer students.”
