MADISON, WI – State Representative David Crowley (D-Milwaukee), Chair of the Milwaukee Legislative Caucus, issued the following statement today, following the announcement of his appointment to the Milwaukee Black Male Achievement Advisory Council (BMAAC).
“It is a great honor and an extraordinary privilege to be appointed to the Milwaukee BMA Advisory Council. The challenges that many of our African American men and boys in the City of Milwaukee face, can at times seem overwhelming. However, I know first-hand that they are not insurmountable. That is why I am proud to join this council and get to work addressing the educational, economic, and social disadvantages that disproportionately affect the men and boys of our community. Together, we can create a Milwaukee where black men and boys have equal opportunities and can feel confident that they can live up to their full potential.”
