Rep. Allen enthusiastic about workforce potential
Rep. Allen released the following statement regarding the Foxconn announcement on locating a facility in Wisconsin:
We have come a long way under the leadership of Governor Walker and the Republican legislature. In the prior decade, employers were looking for ways to leave Wisconsin, and now international businesses are looking to locate here.
13,000 jobs is a lot of people! It is awesome that a major manufacturer recognizes Wisconsin as a great place to grow and expand its operations. The Racine/Kenosha area, with its proximity to both Chicago and Milwaukee are poised to see tremendous growth over the next decade.
Hopefully, folks who have gotten out of the workforce, for whatever reason, will be encouraged to come back. Hopefully, the word gets out around the country that Wisconsin is a great place to work and raise a family, and people consider relocating to Wisconsin.
Wisconsin is open for business, and that helps everyone.
