Milwaukee, WI – Today, at about 10:30 a.m., deputies responded to call about a man who had jumped off the Hoan Bridge, falling a distance of 45 feet onto concrete on the south end of the bridge. Deputies began CPR until MFD emergency responders arrived and took over life-saving measures. The subject was declared dead at 11:43 a.m. by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner.
A witness who had been driving northbound on I-794 said the man pulled over into the distress lane, got out, and jumped from the bridge without pausing.
Sheriff’s detectives are investigating. The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
