Madison, Wisconsin — Governor Scott Walker released his Weekly Radio Address today titled “Forging New Partnerships on Trade Mission to Israel.”

Hi, Scott Walker here.

Wisconsin is open for business.

With a significant increase in exports in the first half of 2017, global companies like Foxconn and Haribo deciding to invest in Wisconsin, and our recent trip fostering trading relationships in Japan and South Korea, our international profile is rising.

Over the last week, we worked to build upon that success with a trade mission to Israel. We encouraged continued foreign investment in Wisconsin and forged new business partnerships between Israeli and Wisconsin water technology organizations. The Water Council, a non-profit based right here in Wisconsin, will collaborate with Israeli government and higher education groups to research water technology innovations and help keep Wisconsin on the cutting-edge of that modern, high-tech industry.

On top of spreading the word about Wisconsin’s strong water technology sector and how it could help Israeli business and government, we also showcased what makes Wisconsin a great place for Israeli companies to establish or expand their operations.

We’re blessed with a well-trained and experienced workforce, a reliable transportation and infrastructure network, and a top-notch education system that contribute to our top ten business climate.

These qualities, together with our engaging with foreign businesses, ensures we’ll keep moving Wisconsin Forward on the world stage.
